Yeah I think this is 10 + years away but this is an example of a technology that would very likely reduce accidents.

Agreed but I think it can be swamped by the amount and size of the precip type.

Yeah- I suppose in whiteout conditions, or in super heavy downpours, it doesn't make any difference how smart your headlights are.
Still the creative leap to think "Hey, we could do that" is pretty cool.
