When I first joined this site in 2006, I didn't see anybody from the Rocky states (Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, etc) Now I see quite a few people from this area including myself and some of our fearless moderators, if you moved, what was your reasoning behind the move? How do you like it out here?

I used to live 20 minutes from you but now its Tahoe for winter/New engalnd for summer. I love Colorado, especially in the dead of summer. Roark is sorta close to you and also ski stef and vdk. Go check out Golden city brewery some afternoon, great place for beers...

made the move to Summit County last December...to ski, hike, etc. It had always been a "dream" if you would say to live in CO, a window opened and so we (vdk03)and I took the chance. So far so good, maybe we didn't get the winter we were hoping for but I skiied more this year than I have in a long time and ultimately that was the goal...to ski. Now with a steady job and nice place over the pass in Alma, I think we'll try to make it work.

Snoseek...Thanks for the tip on Golden city brewery, I can't believe we haven't gotten over there yet.

i was tired of jersey, delaware and my heating and ac job. decided to go back to school somewhere i wanted to and ended up in montana. i love it here. there is something to do or see any time of year, plus yellowstone is really close. 30 minutes in the car gives me endless options. i was driving 3.5 to 4 hrs to get to the catskills before.
