me and jo jo ,the wonder dog. low 30's. snow covered. 1st bike since snow. just 3 miles double and single track. great ride. dog took a dip in beaver bog. she spotted a deer and didn't give chase. gave it hell though. deer stood with it's head behind a tree. must have thought we couldn't see it. friggen toes got cold. tried toe warmers. didn't work. guess not enough air circulation. can't justify winter shoes. home to redhook late harvest and smoking a turkey breast. life is pretty goddamn good

Sounds like a nice ride. I miss that place, strangely enough. How was all that loose slate holding up with the snow? I bet it was hella tricky. You make it through unscathed? Anyone else been up there lately?
