I received a phone call yesterday afternoon from the Superintendent of Schools for the district I work in. We have a special system called connect ed which allows him to call all members of the school community with one call.
It was a very sad call. A 10 year old boy, who was in my class the last year I taught K-2 at the elementary school, was hunting with his father. His father slipped as he was going up a small incline and fell. The gun went off fatally wounding little RayRay.
Ray was a happy, active little boy and was well liked by many in the school community. He will be missed.
