I am not a Jets fan (go Vikings) but I would go see some games.

Makes it sound like the stadium is a done deal. Far from it! The project has so many hurdles to clear that I doubt it will ever be built on the westside; many proposed projects have fallen under the weight of public lawsuits and environmental law.

The J-E-T-S S-U-C-K, I have always been a Giants and Pats fan, but have to admit going to NFL football games in Manhattan would be mighty cool. And, I would love to see the Olympics in da Big Apple.....

That's because you live in Mass. Nobody on the westside of Manhattan wants that stadium or the Olympics with all of its' associated crowds, traffic, and security concerns.

A political football that will wind up being tossed over to Queens in the end.

Suck huh?
I think you should go back and check some stats from last year... ;)

Whatever... unless they meet in regular season - I could care less.

Never understood the whole Giants fans hating the Jets thing...

Thats not really true - lots of people do..
Besides there really arent many residents in that area...

Like the Vulcans say in Star Trek
"The needs of the many outwiegh the needs of the few"

I tried really hard about 20 years ago to be a Jets fan for a couple of seasons (Sack Exchange era), but Richard Todd was such a choke artist in the playoffs, and they ALWAYS lost to Miami. Just never had any respect for the J-E-T-S.

Sorry, dude - the Jets are the Red Sox of the NYC sports teams.....maybe someday......

I have always been a Giants fan...my grandfather worked at Yankee Stadium for 40 years. My brother is a Jets fan. Don't tell him but it was so cool when Namath and the Jets won the Super Bowl.

The NYC/Olympic thing is going to be interesting to watch. I remember 30 years ago when Colorado won the right to have the Winter Olympics then the citizens voted it down.

Thank you Michael Bloomberg for painting yet another bullseye around Manhattan. I hope this is political suicide for him. He didn't get my vote after 9/11 when eveybody was all gushy about Rudy Guilliani and he endorsed him and he certainly won't get my vote now. Apparently my area will be the base for boating events if the Olympics do happen.....I'm thinking extended trip to visit the wife's family in Norway.
