I DID see the film btw. Here are my thoughts:

So what do you do when Warren Miller won't come to your home mountain? You start your own film company. With the support of Burke Mountain, several local young snowboarders have decided to make their own film. A la Meatheads. Only the mountain is Burke and not Stowe.

For the opening event, at the Sherburne Base Lodge, approximately 50-60 locals and vacationing Burke skiers and riders came to the first viewing of the film.

The film featured some great footage of tricks in the parks at Burke as well as footage from Stowe, Loon, and in one of the rider's backyard. It was about 25 minutes long and, like the meatheads, introduced each of the members of the team and footage of them doing tricks. Some funny moments and great scenery. The music selection was good and the film quality was good as well. Last season none of the really good glades at Burke opened, so this is an explanation as to why there are not any tree scenes. This is a park movie with boarders doing their moves....no two plankers.

They also gave the audience a sneak peak at their next movie....due out at the end of the season.

By the way....the crew now knows about AlpineZone and have been visiting our site. I would encourage folks to look into getting a copy of the movie...especially if you are a park man or enjoy good, grassroots movies. No product placement, just great footage. The way that it should be.
