Today at Jiminy the rep from SnowCountry & Jeep Day made the public announcement prior to the raffle that this season is the last season for the Jeep ski days. He said that the contract expires at the end of this season.

He encouraged all Jeep owners to send an email to Snow Country expressing interest in keeping the program and or go to your Jeep dealer and express your concerns there.

Any idea what the email address we should use is?

I found a link off of Jiminy Peak's site under events for the Jeep day. It was for SnowCountry (sp?). There was an email link.

So...Jeep Owners: What year/model Jeep do you have?

We have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I missed the Cherokees... :(

I get to ride in the 02 Jeep Libery Sport!

I am holding out for Daimler/Chrysler to make the decision to install the Mercedes 5Cyl diesel or turbo diesel in the Liberty. It was going to be avail in 03, but still not yet or any release date. That engine normally aspirated (rare most were TD) in the 1997 MB E300 sedan is sweet and is more than capable to power the Liberty. Give it the turbodiesel and it's even better! I miss owning a diesel!

I had an '02 Liberty Sport from the week they came out back in '01. It was great for what it was, but I hated it on the highway. I felt like if the ground wasn't bone dry I'd slide everywhere. I put new tires on it and the situation improved a lot; however, I still had a bad I-93 experience with it (a miserable drive, not an accident) and decided I didn't need 4wd but did need a better highway ride so I traded it for an '03 Outback, which I love.

I just have to be more careful on Sandwich Notch Road now.
:D

Not sure about the Liberty, but the stock Goodyears they used to put on the Cherokees were crap. After 15K they'd squeal at every turn and slipped just on wet roads. I replaced them at 40K with Dunlop Radial Rovers (same size, P235/15) which are relatively inexpensive, and a much better tire than the Goodyears.

I have a 1979 Cherokee Chief and my husband has a 1979 J-10 Pickup. We prefer the AMC Jeeps (and Kaiser) to the Daimler/Chrysler ones...

My Pride and Joy

I still have my High School 1992 Jeep Wrangler. It is no longer stock and I wheel a lot in NH and Maine with Deep Woods Extreme (Hardcore group http://www.deepwoodsextreme.com ) and NEWJO (www.newjo.com)

Sad to see the Jeep days gone but I am sure you will see it up at Tuckermans on those nice spring days with no top on. It is getting tough driving it down the road with 38.5" swampers.

How can I upload a picture?

I drive a 2000 cherokee sport also 106k. Gonna try to hold onto it for at least another year maybe 2. So far I have had great luck with mine, just a few minor electrical problems.

Does anyone know the status of the Jeep Appreciation days?? Is there any chance they will come back???

Not this season, but the fact that Snocountry has a prominent link to that page indicates to me they hope to revisit this in the future.
