Trip Report:
Used some more free vouchers on this beautiful day at Jiminy. As it was their SpringFest, I took it upon myself to wear my classic 80's Roffe romper ski suit as well. If you were there today, I am sure you saw me. It comes out but once a year.... can't miss it. Pictures to come.
Day was gorgeous. Temps hovering around 40-50 all day, sun until the afternoon when the clouds moved in. Plenty of snow left at Jiminy...
Trails I skied: Noreaster off Widow White's, Wild Turkey, Jericho, Whitetail, Whirlway/Lower Ex/Ex-East, North Glade, Riptide, Foxes, Grand Slam, Mogul Thing, etc. Poached Upper Liftline from the crossover... sweet. Someone I know did it from the top... free end of season stonegrinding.
Conditions were great... some watery spots and some grass coming through in heavy traffic areas but with nightly manicuring they should be able to last a few more weeks easy if they choose. An ongoing dissapointment of mine is lack of moguls though. Besides a short poor line down skier's right of the Foxes and a quick run on Mogul Thing, that's about it.
ROTD was my last - Jericho... this run has been great this year, considering its usual an ice rink... it doesn't see much traffic.
Spring rocks! I have a sunburn. That is all..
Up to Stratton tomorrow to use the sweepstakes ticket.
