For putting in a waterpark and going all resorty on me - they write this on their snow report and win the love back.

Never mind the link they took down what they had under conditions. Somebody higher up in management probably saw it and had it removed. The language I liked went something like this..." Image your dangling 60' above the northernmost slope in Vermont hurtling full force into all the gust winds of the north can throw at you dropping you core temperature 60 degrees...the Freezer is now open!"

I doubt it got removed by management. Check out steve@jpr's posts on AZ. He's about as straight forward and blunt as any sales/marketing manager can be. And it shows in JPR's reports and postings. It plays well for their hardcore demographic. Hate on the waterpark all you want, but it is pretty much out of sight out of mind.

When you report on Jay, Steve insists you don't sugar coat anything. Pretty refreshing. I dig Jay Peak, and found myself trying to come up with something negative.

Agree with Snowmonster about the cloud too.

Our new Snow Reporter

That was Joe-our Night Auditor who is also doing the reports. Only rule I gave him was don't lie. His report was great and stayed up all day. Only reason it came down is because today is actually Saturday. Have a good holiday all.

Why does this bother you so much? I don't see the downside. Here at my local hill they have a very sucessful summer water park. As a matter of fact it brings in more customers then the skiing operation. The only results I've seen have been good such as modernazation and improvements of the snowmaking system. These places need revenue to survive especially when we have a winter such as this one. I have fond memories of the old days too but all you have to do is go to Nelsap.org to see how many ski areas have died do to bad snow years and lack of revenue. As much as I love the place look at Mad River this year. Tough to keep a business going when you've got nothing to offer the customer.
