L Vonn's - Head DH skis - technology KERS?

Was watching this vid and wondered if this Head ski "KERS, Kinetic Energy Recovery System" technology really works? It's shown at 0:58 to 1:15 in the video.

I was talking to a guy one time who mentioned his Head monsters had some kind of chip device system implanted to smooth out vibrations and he claimed it really worked especially in carving on rough ice.
