After taking the whole month of April off, I finally got out for my 1st ride of the season on Saturday.
New tires are great. I picked up some WTB Veloicraptors recently. The have great grip on the firm stuff but doesn't wimp out in the soft stuff either. I didn't see many other riders out there, which I thought unusual for a weekend. Got my 1st crash of the season out of the way also. I'll post that video for your viewing pleasure.
Trails were in pretty good shape. A few muddy spots, but everything is passable. I really need to ride more, I'm feeling it today.
The GoPro is working out great, but I need to secure the mount a little better, as it has a tendency to slip. Editing is getting a little easier also. I'm finally getting used to Sony Vegas Pro. Non-liner editing is still a new skill set for me.
This video is about 10 minutes long. The audio is horrible and I didn't even try to cover it up. I'd suggest watching as much of it as you can stomach at 720p fullscreen.
Here's the video of my crash. The slow motion is the best. It's done by playing back video shot 60fps at 30 fps.
