looks like we're not taking a western trip for the 1st time in 20 yrs. thinking of taking a break from our weekly grind at k and doing a tour du verdmont probably doing 2 nites at each location (j, stowe & mrv). nothing extravagant. just comfortable room w/ private bath. recomendations appreciated. thanx.

For MRV (Stowe is just 35 minutes north of here) try www.madrivervalley.com and click on lodging. You can also click on the Online Availability link in the nav bar. Or you can PM me and I can help you once I know dates and required bed configuration.

I can't comment on any particular establishment but rather than uproot the family every other day why not just hold up in Stowe and travel to jay and MRV. They are 35 minutes in opposite directions.
Stowe is best town out of the three.

For Stowe my wife and I like the Green Mountain Lodge. It's right on the main drag within walking distance to many shops, bars, stores etc..... They have a bus that will take you right to the hill so you don't even need to drive your car. Have fun---Stowe is a great town to hang out in.
