Went to Loon via the NACSKI bus. Good deal at only $67 which is less than a regular ticket and saves at least $20 in gas. I was shocked at how uncrowded Loon was as it usually is a complete zoo on weekends. It was ski on to every lift except the gondola. There was about 4-6" of fresh on top of hardpack and it kept snowing all day. The glades were still a bit thin for my taste. Most of the trails got scraped down to the hardpack in the center, but the sides were usually full of the fresh stuff. Best runs were angel street, upper flume, cruiser, and picaroon. 25 runs and over 30,000vft total

Hey! I was there too.

Similar thoughts to yours...

I have a few pics I'll post later.

As for the glades, the blue glades I skied (Scaler and Missing Link) were MUCH better than undercut... Undercut looked good from the lift, but was more than a little sketchy when I got in there.

I'll add more later.

Yeah, I only tried undercut for glades. It looked so good riding up the lincoln express. After 1 run down hitting rocks everywhere I decided to avoid glades the rest of the day. Never looked at scaler as I took picaroon or seven brothers each time I came down to the gondola base.
