Posted on another thread, but about today, I moved it to this one

AMAC2233 .

I was there yesterday (monday) and today. Loon really took a beating from the rain this weekend. bottom half got a lot of rain. lots of bare spots. above Grand Junction or so it snowed. the web site is claiming a foot of snow. don't buy it. it's closer to 6 inches at the very top and 1 or 2" about 100 feet down from the summit. monday was actually great considering. soft snow and maybe about 50 people on the mountain. today was beautiful but the near 60 degree temps made everything a litttttle too mushy for my liking. morning was great though. especially up high. more warm temps like this and Loon won't last more than a week or 2, certainly nothing below Grand Junction. south peak might go sooner.

I differ a little from the previous.

I got on the hill about 9:30. Took 4 various runs off 7 Brothers. Shaded was crunchy, sunny areas were nice spring conditions. Moved over to the Camp III lift, and conditions were about the same, or better. Alternated between that side, and going down accross the top, and back over to Camp III. About noon, Grand Junction and below got too soft. Quit about 1.

Spent next 1.25 hours on the Bunyon deck, it was 65 degrees and just awesome. Back to room, and another hour or so in the sun at Woodstock Inn. With the building blocking the wind, felt like mid 70's.

IMHO, outstanding day today. It's Spring !!

Need to get out of bed and go early, more of same tomorrow. Cloudy on Thursday should be even better.

Gotta go get something to treat this sunburn.....

Was in line when lifts opened. Great until noon. Kept going until one, but was pushing it.

A little cooler today, with a slight breeze.

Supposed to be cooler Thursday and partly sunny.
