Resort or Ski Area: Loon

Conditions: White and Slippery (allright, fsgr)

Trip Report:
I had a good time and I have to give a lot of credit to the groomers and snowmakers for making something out of not much.

Cover was adequate most places with some hellacious icy spots here and there. In general there was a couple of inches of loose edgable snow. Snow guns were blowing on about half of the open trails, mixed blessing improves cover but slows things down.

Best run was upper speakeasy to lower speakeay, Rumrummer was good as were Coolidge, Picked Rock and Blue Ox. Upper to lower walking boss was ok, whales with icy spots.

The real news was that it was my first day out after my bootfitting with Jeff Bokum. Something was missing -- I know ... it was the pain. I'll be posting about that in the gear section.

We haven't bee to Loon yet, but want to give it a try. Hoping for better conditions though. We hate to try a new mountain with crappy conditions, it doesn't give a good feel for the mountain. Maybe after this weekend, if we're lucky.
