I was browsing Loon's event calendar and came across this event.

Winter ain't over 'til we say it is! Hike up to the LMP and partake in the last jam of the season.
Jumps and rails open advanced skiers and riders only.
Don't forget your sunscreen!
Entry Fee - $30 which includes a BBQ lunch!
Event Schedule
8:30-10:30am - Registration
11am - Event begins

Date is tentatively set to May 3rd in their calendar.

Interesting idea. Although specific for park crowd, official earn your turn day after the lift service has ended.

Wow, that is great that Loon can get away with charging people $30 to enter a contest and not run any lifts. That is similar to the silly east coast rando races with big entry fees for the privilege of earning your turns during an official event. At least you get a BBQ lunch with that entry fee, lol.

I have gone to the huck and hike a few times to watch. I hiked lower picked rock to make turns Its a pretty big event. They give you a couple large jumps in the park with plenty of approach and landing areas, Plus a few rails. Nothing I would enjoy, but for park folk its pretty decent. It has a large turnout. I'll be on the lift at the Loaf this year.
