MAGIC first time, 2/23
last night i just decidedd to go up to magic with my friend at like 12 so we got no sleep, but....
left here at like 6 with my friend.. 2 and a half hours later got up there, lot was barely full.. met up with some random guy in line and said we drove up together, so we got $25 tickets.
SO MUCH SNOWWW
haven't been out of the catskills in years, snow was unreal up here.
sort of windswept on the open trails, down to the ground in some places but that was ok. the woods were unreal, so much snow everywhere. they were only reporting like 10" the last two days but there was easy 2 ft + in places, the wind blew some huge drifts
got up on the double at 10. damn that lift is slow, did laps on the woods all day, ate lunch in like 10 minutes and then took a little.. blunt break in the woods got us back in the groove.. then back out until last chair...
basically we had no idea where we were all day, hit some woods to the far right then off of the trail next to talisman and the glades off of enchanted forest idk im sure some magic people were up there haha...
ski on lift all day, pow everywhere all day, like surfin on a stick of butter i swear...
amazing, place was empty and the woods were AMAZING, definitely get the plattekill comparisons..
yea pics tomorrow holy shit this was fun.
saw some people with video cameras figured there might be a few AZers up there...
