With the holiday weekend upon us I’m planning the menu for our picnic on Sunday. Margaritas are on the list! Here’s my recipe. Wondering if any AZ’ers have a favorite margarita recipe to share???

In a large pitcher combine:
3 Corona 12oz beers
1 12oz can of frozen limeade concentrate
12 oz of your favorite tequila
Several lime slices and ice.
Stir until the limeade is fully dissolved.

A variation is to add more ice + strawberries and a blender :)

Damn, that one seems like one hell of a hangover witht he beer. Here's mine:

2 part Tequila
3 parts Sweet and Sour mix
2 parts Triple Sec
1 Lime juice, preferably Rose's

Blender full of ice and mix until smooth.
Salt on rim.

If you're not doing frozen, I suggest a bit of egg white. It adds to the 'frothiness' of the drink.

Taking it up notch? Sub Contreau for the Triple Sec. A bit of Grand Manier is always a nice touch as well.

The first time i heard the beer recipe i was turned off, until i tried it. Not a classic margarita by any means but something fun to try.

I'll let you know on Monday how the hangover is :-D

You're right about the ice. I like my margerita so thick that I can't pour, I have to spoon. I normally put ice in until it look like it won't take any more. If I put too much in and the blender doesn't want to mix anymore, I just throw in a splach or two of Tequila until it gets started again.. MMMMMmmmm...... can you say brain freeze :)

Hell yeah..I was explaining that to my Dad a few weeks ago..he was using room temperature tequila..and I kept saying..more ice..and back in the day..I used to buy a 32 ounce slurpie..drink it down a bit..and add Rum...that worked out well until..one day I spilled it all over my couch..

Prefer on the rocks with salt. Frozen is for sissys!

2 parts tequila reposado (don't waste an anejo and don't ruin it with crap Cuervo)
1 part gran gala or triple sec
2 parts Citrus simple syrup (make night before with lemons, limes, sugar and water)

Shake it and serve over lots of ice

One of those buckets you buy. Pour in as much tequila as possible without over filling. Put in freezer. Scoop out into a cup and get drunk.

I start with Patron Silver and then maybe I'll add in the fresh lime/sour mix/ice/etc. Most of the time I'll just start and END with the Patron Silver ;)

When you've had too much to drink
there's certain things to keep in mind.
Like when you find your hand and underarms are bleeding
your beer bottle might not have a twist off cap
and don't ever go home with a woman they call Moose
or Vince
And never bet that you can fit your head inside a glove compartment

Hey, as long as you start with the really good stuff, why bother adding anything else!
