Epoch, a ski film by the Meatheads of VT, will be playing at Neville Hall at UMaine Orono Tuesday 10/18 at 8pm. Admission is FREE :D I'm planning on heading over after work, I should be there sometime around 7:45. I believe the film lasts an hour, maybe a bit longer. It's a documentary of skiing Washington, Katahdin, Marcy, Mansfield, and Greylock.

Here's the link:

After the film I'm going to check out the new brewpub in Orono  Woodman's bar and grill.

If any of you folks feel like making a looooooong drive, I'd really enjoy meeting up with you

Thanks rivercOil. I've been wanting to see this since last year. Mostly to see where they ski on Katahdin. I've been eyeing a few chutes in the NW Basin on my winter hiking expeditions....I saw Schooled last season. Should be fun :D

Living in the middle of nowhere has it's disadvantages too.

the katahdin scenes are spectacular. likely the best part of the video. definitely interests me in purchasing the needed gear for the trip and getting some folks together. seems like the biggest obstacle is that the part is closed during prime time spring skiing weather when risk of avi is at it's lowest.
