I'm going to Mount Snow with my daughter for the first time tomorrow. In need of advice where to go to avoid the crowds.

start at Carinthia, if the wind is not so bad try some Sunbrook and depending on your daughters ability spend some time on the north face then hit the main mountain in the afternoon when most of the crowd dissipates.

Basically just stay away from the Main Base till 2. If you want some steeper terrain, try North Face. If you want mellow terrain, try Sunbrook and Carinthia. If you really want to venture to the main base, first you should go to the summit and look to see if the Summit Triple is running. If it is, it's a good bet that the base is packed.

They are using the shotgun method for loading the Summit Express this year. It has greatly reduced the wait for the lift. The line's haven't really been that bad. If you want no line, stick to the Sundance Triple. With all the natural snow the terrain off that lift is in incredible shape.

thank you everyone for great suggestions. I've followed your advices and managed to have a great day, however Carinthia was busier then I wanted. We had a blast at Sunbrook.
