STOWE, Vermont — The University of Vermont and Stowe Mountain Resort are the host site for the 2005 NCAA Alpine Skiing Championships.

Two alpine racing events will take place on "Hayride," the East's premier race trail. Men's and Woman's Giant Slalom is Wednesday, March 9 from 9:30am to 12:45pm. Men's and Woman's Slalom is Friday, March 11 from 9:30am to 12:30pm. An award and flower ceremony will follow each event.

To celebrate the championships and encourage people to come to the mountain and root for the home team UVM Catamounts, Stowe Mountain Resort is offering a special lift ticket price. On Wednesday March 9, Vermonter's can purchase full day lift tickets for only $25.
