Total Distance: 2-3 miles, a bit over 1,000' vertical
Difficulty: Moderate
Conditions: Sunny, dry trail

Negus Mountain is the rocky thing you see behind Zoar Gap in Charlemont/Rowe, MA. After climbing through the woods on some ledges, the whole thing opens up for the duration of the hike, going over more ledges and low bush blueberries with only sparse shrubs and saplings - it almost feels like Monadnock. The views are excellent - looking down the Deerfield River Valley into Charlemont, up the valley into Rowe, and East at Mt. Greylock.
