His mother and sister stole $100,000 from his fledgling film company and were never seen again. His first wife died of spinal cancer after giving birth to their son. For a while he was a single-Dad. His second wife loathed his workaholic lifestyle--focused on his company--and cheated on him. And his son's takeover of the company in 1989 was anything but happy.
