With many ski areas selling their season passes already, I created an Excel table with all the season pass prices I could find in New England and then sorted them by price. The result is this. Let me know if you see any new season passes going on sale and I will add them to the chart. However, this is meant to show the first round of pricing only so I won't update the chart to reflect increased prices. The size of the ski area category is a bit arbitrary, hopefully it's not cause for debate.

Cool list, thanks for putting this together!

I'd love to see a table like this with yearly ticket data. I think someone (Billski maybe?) has kept that for a while.

963 post 10/15... those are for adult 7 day, i guess that is what these all are.

I know people keep track of regular lift ticket prices from year to year, but yes, it would be nice to see season pass prices from year to year and if someone does that, then that is great, but if not, then this will begin it!

Vermont Tech has a ski area?

I relied on NewEnglandSkiHistory to put together the list of ski areas. Here's the link: http://www.newenglandskihistory.com/Vermont/vermonttech.php

These are the earliest possible rates, a lot of them expire in April or May. One or two of them expire as soon as April 1st!

On MRG, are you certain that these are for next season? The website doesn't appear to be updated yet.

Interesting to see. Ragged, Gunstock and a couple of other middle-tier hills are pretty good values. At Attitash, who is willing to trade 19 blackout dates to save a mere $110? Bretton Woods has 21 blackout dates in exchange for a measly $100 savings! I guess if you are retired and want to avoid peak periods it may make sense, but that is still a lot of blackout dates for very little savings.

I'm surprised to see such a difference between Loon and Waterville Valley. Loon is basically begging people to buy the pass with 13 blackout dates.

Interesting to see it all there in black and white. Mt. Ellen only for $499 might be the most gnar for the money. With moderate crowds most of the time too.
Edit: Pico's a good deal too.

Did Magic increase their pass price quite a bit this yr? IIRC it was something like $369 or so for early buy in previous yrs.
Interesting that in Central/So VT, Pico is $369 for a 5 day/week operation with 2 HSQ's and arguably a longer season while Magic is $539 running 4 days and some snowmaking challenges in getting open early.

If I were a local I'd give real thought to a Pico pass as the better 'value'----have to wonder if Magic is pricing themselves a bit on the high side? I say this as a big big fan of Magic so don't get on my case---just making a point.

I'm a fan, but at that price Magic will just be an occasional day trip contender like many other mountains for me. Bummer.

I'd have to agree. If the season pass goes up then the day pass will probably be going up as well. This a bummer for me.
