Lol I wondering how long it would take for a new thread :) yes the lockout thread was getting off topic, but this is a skiing forum not a hockey forum so I was letting it slide... ;-) So, to the discussion. First, Scotty can you tell us what happened the season following the rags '94 championship? I'll wait for my answer... Secondly, while I have been salivating for my beloved Islanders to finally cap The Drive For Five, I really could wait till they moved into there new digs on the rags doorstep. Additionally whatever team "wins" the cup this year will be tainted with an asterisk because of the stupid lockout. :( one final note, Gary buttman needs to go!!!

The season was locked out, Hey we kill you guys back in 1994, 4 games to zero in the first round. I sure it is okay to talk about hockey, their are baseball, football, threads all the time. I agree good bye to Gary Buttman.

Both sides were stupid with this. Nobody plays during the regular season anyways. Start the playoffs with everytime based on last year's seeding. It would be better hockey. World Junior Championship that just ended was some awesome hockey.

USA WON BTW.

Nice thread, Scotty. Refreshing to just talk hockey and not the lock out.

I think the Rangers are going to be the strong team in the East. They did phenomenal last year, and now they have Rick Nash. Krieder will be a huge part of the team I think. They need to lock in DelZotto though. They're and incredibly rounded team with the right amount of experience and young blood. Plus a CLUTCH net minder.

The Bruins, Pens and Flyers will also be strong.

Sorry, Twinplanx..the Isles won't make the playoffs. They'll actually make out over the next few years from the CBA.

ah yes a lockout, and then the salary cap was introduced to prevent teams(the NYR) from buying the Stanley Cup again. ;-)

I am struggling to care that hockey is back. I used to love the game but their fighting over the money has made me angry.
The only positive is that i have a friend who gets awesome tickets to events at MSG and she owes me from this winter. Looking foward to rinkside tickets!

I understand about not watching after all the strike, I use to like baseball but the strike kind of change that. I just love hockey and just tired of having nothing to watch on tv, plus I know someone know who I can make some money with if I predict my hockey games ahead. Have fun at the Garden it is a great place, and fyi so easy to sneak liquor in scary easy, if you information you can PM me ,I had partcial season pass tickets their 2 years ago.

Where did you find that? I didn't think they released the schedule yet.
