Gunstock's summit quad is down for an extended time too. Not a good time to be a chairlift in New Hampshire.

Rope came off of the sheaves. Could be wind related or someone swinging the chair.

It was no stall. It was a safety circuit that was tripped.

Belleayre, you are next on the Price is Right. Come on down!!!

In all fairness a tree fell on this one. Also, Pats has released a statement saying there was no mechanical failure and the wind blew the line off the shelves (so why was the chair open if it was windy enough to do that?) so no Attitashiness going on here.

Saw this on the Belle site this morning. Losing the Superchief (now called the Belleayre Express) is a blow because it is one of only 2 high speed lifts there and it serves a part of the mountain that will be tough to access easily without it. Glad I'll be up at K again starting tomorrow.
