Kind of looks similar to the quicksilver incident at whistler in 95, glad nobody was seriously hurt in this incident though.

Looks like a fixed grip lift, surprised the grips could slide that easiy

If Google Translate is to believed, the resort's manager actually said this to the press: "t was just a technical malfunction that is common."

He's actually correct. The article says that there have been chair derailments in 2010 and 2013. Who would have thought that the North Koreans would have a better safety record?
