In terms of fit, Izumi incorporated a generous 15-inch inseam that qualifies the Impact shorts for all-mountain riding " your guards slip right under and leave plenty of room for movement. Additionally, the shorts have a few details that make them perfect for off the bike forays. A liner with Pearl Izumi's 3D Tour chamois is detachable, which means that you'll be comfortable on the bike and not feel like you are wearing a diaper in the bar afterwards.
This insert features two layers of 13mm variable density padding. Pressure Relief Technology (PRT) places supportive foam where it's needed most, while also ensuring that soft tissue receives optimal support. The entire piece is pre-shaped to fit your anatomy while in riding position, and a four-way stretch further adjusts to individualize the fit. Lastly, the covering fabric is highly-breathable and quite an efficient moisture manager.
Two zippered pockets hold small items like a credit card or license, and a snap-front closure with zipper keeps your fly closed. And rounding out the build, a back tab creates an adjustable fit at the waist.
