Be great if we could buy it, make it a coop. Let the trails grow back in....run only the double, sell all the other lifts....what a BC paradise it could be.

You guys are too late, I already got the place by quitclaim deed for a bag of gold coins and I changed the name to Moe Mountain. Private memberships start at 25,000$ for a lifetime, transferrable membership and I only take Euros. I'm tearing down all the condos.
Another good article that is worth reading. Stowe officials and Bill Stenger are quoted in this one. Also interesting is how some locals value the resort to be at between $50 million and "hundreds of millions" and that there are no worries that the resort will fetch a high price.

Not officially yet, but then no assets have been officially put on the block. Essentially, though, all of AIG is for sale in one way or another.

Sounds like they're doing it roght to me.
At least, right for their target audience.
And yes, they'll probably operate as usual this year. Just maybe with a different owner.
