Interesting. I'll give them $254.43 for the Loaf. That's the remaining balance in my checking account that's supposed to last me until mid-May  I really don't want to have to take out a loan from my sister :p

I cleaned out the cushions in my couch. If I throw in the 32 cents I found, can I get a 0.1% share with you, Birdman?

If I skip my morning coffee twice I can throw in another 60 cents. Although the productivity I'd lose would probably not be worth it unless I can see some healthy returns. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,000,000%.

I know you gusy are joking but in all honesty I wonder if some sort of public ownership or co-op situation would be best for the loaf.

The best thing would be for the town of Carrabassett Valley to buy it.

Amen to that. They could probably do it too. That town is rolling in money because they have so many taxpayers and no real services that they have to provide for 75% of them or more. A lot of the roads are privately owned/maintained and they have hardly any kids in school to pay Kingfield for.

I would be a lot more comfortable with it going to them than to some other resort conglomerate. We need someone to run the Loaf that doesn't have their head shoved up their @ss.

Wildcat should buy Sunday River and shut it down to stifle competition. Sorry SR that's the way the big boys play, right Les(s)?
