Amazing fourth quarter. I was on the edge of my seat, but the Cowgirls failed. I HATE the Cowboys. 20-21 victory. Some incredible, freak plays....including Romo's blown hold for the 19-yard field goal with 1:19 left! The fumble in the endzone/safety was also interesting.

Now that's what I call Playoff Football!

I kept tabs on that game...but didn't watch it all.

That dropped snap for the winning field goal...remonded me of being a Red Sox fan...a la Billy Buckner.

Yo Dallas Fans....enjoy that replay...for the rest of your lives. Welcome to the club. *smirk*

The only bad thing is that the seahawks didn't get get eliminated. We get thier first round pick this year due to the branch trade.

I watched it and it was awesome. I can't wait for tonight when I get to see both the GIANTS and the 'Boys be eliminated from the playoffs in the same weekend.
- If i were skiing it would be the best weekend ever.

Yesterday was a very good day seeing the Cowboys getting owned on the FG attempt. Giants and Jets losses today would only made the weekend better. Imagine that, 2 New York teams eliminated in the same day.

Ahem. Giants fan here.

I don't expect them to win though....not at the rate that they have been playing...

Due to my drifting attention while feeding the baby, I saw the tail end of the blown field goal play and my first thought was Romo running some trick play for a touchdown. When I saw the replay and realize he botched the hold, I just plain felt bad for the guy. Kudos to him for trying to make something out of it by making a dash for the endzone. 5 more feet and he would have been a hero.

The Pats played a decent game Sunday, but they'll need to be even more disciplined (no more 15 yard misconduct penalties) when they go to San Diego. If they can stop Tomlinson, they'll give themselves a great chance to win.

This is why the NFC is considered weak...after Drew Brees, name one marquee QB left on the NFC side of the playoff ladder.

Garcia? Great comeback story but his season ends this weekend against NO.

Grossman? Please.

Hasselback? What has he done this year? And his team should have been finished last weekend.

So it's kind of between 2 backups for the 2nd pro bowl QB spot...Romo and Garcia.

Even when you consider teams out of playoff contention, there really aren't any stand-outs.

And it's why the Pats are to be feared...they have the best QB in Brady.

Phillip Rivers regressed in the second half of the season; Steve McNair is OK, but he's lost a step and the offense he's a part of is not great. That leaves Peyton Manning who has never beaten Brady when it really mattered.

Manning has always been rated over him because of the numbers. When I think about what he has done with no name receivers and a young TE group it's really amazing. Its good to see that the guy is getting the props over manning.

Also, the defense has been playing great all season, they had a stretch where the offense was giving up alot of turn overs. Made them play on a short field most of the time. Seems like they finally corrected the problem hence they have been able to make a nice run into the playoffs.

Brady is in total control on the field...you can see it the way he walks. Never looks like Eli Manning does.

I have to rate the Pats as the favorite to win it all because of him.

Right on...

And to think they only have 1 player going to the pro bowl.

That makes it better, pats will be angry and get into the "no respect" mode. The bolts has 9 players going, now they have the target on their shirts. Hope Harrsion is well enuf to play, he can bring the intensity to another level given this was the team that cut him loose.

Another hallmark of Belichick coached teams...the team aspect is far more valued than individual honors.

I hate to admit it, but that's part of what he learned from Parcells...his teams were that way too, great team success with sometimes spotty individual player recognition.

Like they say, all that matters are the W's.
