How about hot pants?

Now you're getting into a moral grey area.
I mean, should certain colors be allowed? Hot pink is fine, but yellow might be offensive to some people. No, it's better to keep it strictly at pants/no pants.

Are tubetops out of the question?

How many years do you think it will be until Helmet laws are in place? It's only a matter of time. I always find parents who make their kids wear helmets but don't wear one themselves to be hypocrits..

I have to agree here. One of the reasons I started wearing one was in anticipation of teaching my girls to ski. Some would argue "do as I say, not as I do," but I don't subscribe to that.

I think I will start wearing my helmet when I drive to the ski area. Then I can ski with no helmet and feel much better about making the safer choice. I can look around and see all those other skiers and riders wearing their helmets and think HA I bet they didn't wear their helmet on the drive to the ski area.

Helmet law? Sounds great! I wasn't using my civil liberties anyways!

While we are at it why not make it illegal to drive a car/walk/run/sleep/swim/eat dinner without a helmet? never know when you are going to whack your head! :) :) :)

I always wear one. Have been for quite a number of years.

There should not be a law requiring helmets. LMTFA is pretty much my motto.

I also don't understand why some people have said there should be a law for kids and not adults. Where's the logic in that? I always find it really hypocritical when I see a kid wearing a helmet either skiing or biking and then their parent(s) with them aren't. First off, if the parent falls with a brain injury, who's going to support the child? As a parent, one must lead by example. My daughter has to wear a helmet whether biking, skiing or even on her scooter. IMHO, those that don't wear one, just don't have much to protect.

What if a parent falls and breaks a leg and loses a job?!?! Of worse dies from a heart attack or falls off a cliff...????

Maybe people with kids just shouldn't ski.. Or do anything dangerous for that matter...

I think you're taking my comment out of context...I was just talking about why require a helmet just for kids and not adults.., and the hypocrisy of parents requiring their kids to wear helmets when they themselves don't. I also said in my post...LMTFA, I'll decide what I want to do.

Pa---lease. Did you really say that???

Butwhy wouldn't you just wear a helmet..your brain is your most imprtant muscle..Skiing and riding is usually safe and injury free but you can always get crashed into by an out of control Joey with an Eagles/Giants/ Patriots Jacket and frozen Jeans..yelling..look out from above.,.or move out of my way...I hate rules and laws and what-not but I've worn a helmet skiing my past 200+ days...including earning turns where there aren't out of control nubz..Guys who don't wear a helmet..just wear one..set a good example for others..and you'll also look like a hero to your kids, spouses, Significant others, family, and friends.. Non-skiers and riders get piece of mind knowing that you're doing whatever possible to be safe,,,,So wear a helmet this season...or else..risk a head injury which will leave you in a wheelchair eating jello....I'm out
