I would guess that Kmart far and away is the leader in groups of people buying shares in a seasonal ski house rental. In what other ski area regions is this a common practice? In the Whiteface/Lake Placid region this housing system is basically nonexistent.

I wonder why it’s so popular at some areas and not at others?

I think its popular at some and not others Is

A.) Party Scene
B.) Proximity to major metro areas

I would be curious about Whiteface/Lake Placid shares too. '

I am most likely back at a share in Killington next season but without a season pass. So I probably will use my share house there as a base to try out other near by places.

Really would like to hear what the Lake Placid scene is like.

There are a lot of them in the MRV, and I have a friend who had one further north, such that they skied Jay and Smuggs.

I also interviewed for one in Stowe, but the one I settled on (They settled on me?) was in Moretown which was mostly a Stowe house... but it moved toward being a mostly Sugarbush house.

Lots of bars, brew pubs and resturants, main street shopping, movie theater, shows and sporting events at Oly. Center, skating at Oly. Oval, sled dogs and tobaggon run on Mirror Lake and various special events in town all year. X-country skiing, snowmobiling. There really is alot to do.

Come and stay for a weekend and I'd be happy to show you around the mountain and LP.
