Yeah, girl I hired a few months ago is from Lebanon. She says it's great- you can ski one day, sit on the beach the next. Who knew?

Well the French invented Lebanon. They carved the best parts out of other countries. We all know the frenchies know a little bit about skiing.

Looking at the website is mind blowing. I wonder if the Christian Militia has a ski club. The Hezbolla slalom race team?

Beswift was mentioning something about rich shieks sking here. I wonder if he knows more about it?

At the Copley Marriot, I used to work side-by-side with a guy from Lebanon. He came here to escape the civil war, married a Bostonian and now has a slew of kids. He told me about the skiing there. I can't attest about how good it is, though. All the Oil Sheiks ski there with their harems, entourages, ect. During the civil war this wasn't the case of course, but it now is. Lebanon has been pacified and makes an interesting vacation destination. Before 9/11 I knew a Tuft's Dental student who was boinking a guy from there. She took here vacations in Lebanon, told me she had a great time, and graduated. For all I know she lives there now, but of course 9/11 might have changed that. An another interesting thing I have learned was that the Israeli women are avid beach kite-boarders. Of course you all know that the Olympic Gold in men's windsurfing went to an Israeli. I imagine that the Lebanon beach areas can be just as attractive to active sport's enthusiasts, but I have nothing on them.

From skileb.com, "Lebanon has six ski resorts with groomed slopes, catering to skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Beyond the skiable domains await you kilometers of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails waiting to be explored; Lebanon has something for everyone. Each of the ski resorts has a different flavor; however, it is Faraya Mzaar (Kfardebian) that offers world-class infrastructure and facilities for the tourists. "

Nice Find. By the way I recently heard from the French that the Atlas Mtn.'s in Moroco is a >>hot<< randonne destination.
