Hi all,

Doing a little side work for the Ski The East / Meathead Films gang. Am contacting some blogger types directly but figured I would ask the in the know crowds round here too.

We are seeking a few more regional news/content contributors for http://skitheeast.net before the new site launches in a few weeks. Mostly in areas where ski publicity is more scarce. The mid-atlantic, southern New England, midwest, south, etc. This is for our nearly daily eastern ski feautes section. They can be focused on BC, Resort, Jib, or other..

Anyone come to mind who might want to have their words/pics/vids (and home site) featured on a leading ski media site this winter who happens to focus on the lesser covered reaches of eastern ski country?

Any leads appreciated. Links to their blogs would be great! Thanks. Hope this is an allowable post topic. If not, no worries.

Spend more time covering the great State of Maine. We always get ripped off in the press. I know the skiing is great in VT and NH. Its also pretty great in Maine too.

This is so far from the truth Tooth. The skiing in Maine is awful, horrible and just generally lousy. Especially at Sugarloaf. Stay away.

VT, NH and Maine we feel we have reasonably well covered. Seeking areas south and west of there where folks are keeping the shred alive, but getting a bit less cred for it. Want to get them that cred and show off their passion.

Zones like the mid atlantic, western NY, western NC, WV, the UPofM and throughout the midwest. It's a hunt.

Western NY? I'll look around. I guess most anyone could write, but producing good pics and vids is a tough ore to refine.

Hi Alex,

Clearly not from one of the regions you're looking for and I haven't written anything in my blog (The Blue World) for a couple years, but it skiing themed and I think there's even a post about your moving to Oregon. While I'm in the novel business these days, (Actually, I'm in the insurance business, but when writing...) I'd be happy to get back into ski-related writing. If you're interested, shot me a note.

Jerry

Not sure just what your looking for but I rode Ski Sundown in New Hartford CT quite heavily last season and tried to keep track of conditions and other things happening on the mountain. Here is a link to the personal blog I kept of my season complete with pictures as well. If this is what your looking for I have my season pass and plan on trying to do something similar to this for the 2011-2012 season and your welcome to copy paste it if it may help the southern New England area, I also head to Butternut often (Just not as much as I dont have a pass there). http://www.facebook.com/cmedlar/posts/856113739441?ref=notif&notif_t=like#!/note.php?note_id=477325681296
