My comment would be that's a good thing. Whiteface has reconized them since the 1950's. In the late 1950s, Whiteface Mountain was dedicated to the men of the “10th”, whose bravery in the European theater during World War II has been documented over the years. Their execution of wintertime maneuvers in battle has become legendary.

Wachusett Mountain has a rock with a plaque on it dedicated to the 10th mountain and of course the 10th mountain trail.

I think it is fantastic that they're honoring the men from the 10th Mountain Division that were in during WWII.

But...

What about the men & women that are in the 10th now?

Please note, I'm not belittling, minimizing, nor disrespecting the WWII 10th Mountain Division in any way, shape or form!

Good point, 'dozer. The gist I got was that they were focusing on the men of the 10th Mtn. But not clear. I revised the title to be "members" instead of "men."

how far down is the name change going to effect 108? Will it end at the resort or continue towards jeff?

just curious considering im moving to a place on 108 about 1/2 mile from smuggs....will I be living on the dedication road?
