Hey everyone,
Skiing Smuggs for the first time tomorrow and was looking for some advice on how to get the best skiing in from opening until noon. Best lifts, trails to lap? Where to park? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

P1 is the best lot. you boot up and ski down to sterling, and then you ski right to your car at the end of the day. the other lots require crossing a road. and you definitly do not want to park at morse, which is what you will encounter first when driving in. thats the family area.

based on how bolton and jay have been for me, i am sure smuggs is skiing great. you cant really go wrong with the on the map glades, and there is a ton of off the map shit. like the area above shuttle on the trail map, which yuou access by going past the sterling bullwheel and hiking the long trail off to your left.

theres also the huge backcountry access also off of sterling, but i wouldnt necessarily go back there without someone who knows the way around. there are certainly many obvious routes down, but also some cliff-out possibilities. plenty of people will be skiing it tho.

madonna 1 is one of the premier lifts in the east. cant really go wrong. shakedown glades are nice. dempseys.
