Snowbird vs. Alta

I just got back from snowbird and alta. I was wondering what ski are you guys think is better. I think they are both awsome, and are now my 2 favorate ski areas. But i like snowbird a little bit more because of the amount of steeps that are easy to get to and the vertical, even though they get less snow.

I think both Alta and Snowbird are awesome and better than anything on the east coast. EOM

I got back from the Snowbird/Alta area from a week vacation as well, being a snowboarder, however, I couldn't tell you if I thought Alta was nicer or not

Park City wasn't anything worth going back to, I spent a day there and it was full of crowds and groomers. The one thing I liked about PC was the high speed 6 they had going up to one of their bowls, even on President's Day this had no line at all, I ended up doing laps on this and the Jupiter Double. The Canyons was a nice place in terms of a lot of terrain diversity but their low elevation compared to LCC really kills them. The few days I spent at Snowbird were the best I would say, it's a lot of fun there, but not sure how it compares to Alta.

It's like comparing Stowe and MRG. One's more polished, the other a little more retro. (And no snowboards.)

If I was there for a day and had to choose one or the other, I'd go with Alta. A tough pick though. Both are outstanding.

I was going to ski park city and the canyons but after seeing how much better alta and snowbird looked, i just skiied those two places the whole week.
