I saw this for the first time about 2 years ago and itseems to have exploded.
I dunno, I think I'd be more comforable SITTING in a kayak vs. standing around forever. What's the appeal with standing? Is it just more leverage into the water for speed? I guess i tmight be fun if you could balance in the waves and surf along with it but I don't think the boards are designed for that kind of use.
Welcome to surfing! Sounds like you're hooked! It's all about THAT feeling. Like walking on water. We've got some people that stand up paddle on lake bomoseen, it looks pretty relaxing early in the morning...
I just learned to surf last week and what a blast. They had lessons all over for SUP and I see now the draw for being able to ride waves without the pop up, but for me it was all about being able to get up on my own and what a feeling when you finally do!!
Because he can.some guy paddleboarded from nantucket to hyannis this summer, my ?-- why!!
