STRATTON MOUNTAIN, Vermont -- Saturday night, February 7, some of the east coasts best amateur freeskiers and riders will square off for the third and final event in Stratton's winter Cold Wars Slopestyle competition, held under the lights on the Tyrolienne Terrain Park. Registration begins at 4 p.m. in the base lodge and practice begins at 5 p.m.

The competition will start at 5:45 and awards will be presented at Grizzly's (located above the base lodge) between 7 and 8 p.m. Awards will be given for two divisions, 15 and up and 14 and younger and there may be a separate girls category depending on female participation. Afterwards, all those 21 plus are invited to the Green Door Pub for pool, foos, Wii, booze, bar food and music by the Max Allen Band.

Individuals under the age of 18 MUST have a parent or guardian present in order to register on site though pre-registration is available online by going to stratton.com/todo/events/Cold_Wars and then clicking on the pre-registration link.

The east coast's gnarliest amateur throwdown will be happening once again at Stratton, home of the 2009 Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships, March 16-22
