Was curious if anyone has been to Sunapee lately and checked out the bumps on Flying Goose and in the Sunbowl. I know they normally seed them and they have been great pro-style bumps in the past but wasn't sure if anyone could confirm.

I want to get a good bump session in close to home after being out of town for work this past week and want to go somewhere close to home after hitting Magic up today as I have some stuff to do around the ole' apartment.

I heard Crotched has bumps as well and may think about heading over there if someone can confirm the bumps they have are in fact good (Pro style and or seeded and or nicely spaced bumps)

Can't speak to the other 2, but Pats has bumps. Hurricane is pretty damn good, with a number of good lines. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. It's not über rhythmic the way seeded lines are, but is still good. There is also a nice little mogul field setting up near the bottom of FIS on skiers right. I hit that a few times this afternoon. These I believe were "skied-in" various mt. staff, and have more of a rhythm. It's not long, but it's got a nice low angle, and the bumps are tight. There's even an opportunity to air it out into the entrance to the bumps if you are so inclined!

Sunapee has seeded bumps for the past 8-10 years. I haven't been to the place this season but their snow reports said goose is bumped up. The place has a freestyle teams that competes locally and they host at least one event, so they are usually good about setting that trail up.

Whaleback has a freestyle team, they travel and host as well, word is lower face is bumped up. It may be a better alternative to Sunpaee given the high crowd count due to the holiday break.

Crotched usually does not seed, they leave sections or whole trails ungroomed. The bumps have good rhythm, they have some skiers and patrollers that can still bring it in terms of old school short turns.

Pat's is a place I have been meaning to try but just never had the time. Sometime soon I hope.

Was at Sunapee 9 days ago. Short stretch under the Sun Bowl chair pictured. Flying Goose was seeded and course setup, but jumps X'd off.

The seem to be leaving skier's right on Skyway ungroomed for a stretch too which is likely bumped up, unfortunately I don't think you can combine that with the bump section on the lift line. Also the marked trees are generally pretty widely spaced and have decent bump lines.

Whaleback has seeded bumps on lower face. They skied nicely today the couple times I tried them.

The bottom right of FIS looked like a great spot for a nice zipper line. I imagine it's hard to get a consistent line on Hurricane.

The FIS setup has a nice zipper line for a bit, but it gets funky at the bottom.

It is possible to have a nice, long line going on Hurricane - providing no kids snowplow in front of you!

Really? Seems like the funky double fall line makes it impossible to get top to bottom zippers.

Top to bottom would be tough. It's not a double fall line this season - up top the fall line pretty much goes straight down hill. Further down it spills to skiers right a bit.

Did you get out? Where did you end up, and how was it?

Ended up going to Sunapee. Bumps were great on Flying Goose and Liftline in the Sunbowl. Very much pro-stye with good spacing and size. A little ice in the troughs but way better than any other bumps I have skied this season. Rest of the mountain had great conditions too and little in the way of lines except for the summit express. I spent most of my time in the bumps though.
