Waren and I drove up through Bethel on the way to our Motel in Rumford Center to see what was left of Olympia (snowoman) as well as the cover at Sunday River. Not much is left that is skiable for any great length after the heavy rain that came through here earlier in the week.

Still have top-to-bottom on Monday Mourning and Sunday Punch on Locke and several top-to-bottom routes on Jordan where the snow holds better. Regardless, we'll wait for all that for when lifts have stopped turning...

Kind of suprised that the upper 2/3rds of White Heat still have some snow on it after the cat snow harvesting they did a few weeks ago to build the super park for the Heat Huckfest

So sad. There was so much snow there just 3 weeks ago. Wonder what Jordan and Aurora look like? Really wonder how much of the Dumont/RedBull qtr pipe remains? That was one immense pile of snow.

I'd guess that from a liability standpoint, that 1/4 pipe has been altered by a few snowcats to look nothing at all like it did a few weeks ago.

I'd bet though that that part of Aurora will vie for the title of "the last patch of snow to melt this yera at SR" ;)

It's interesting how that profile shot of White Heat makes it look less steep than it really is....

Bobr knows the plan. Saturday will involve SL if it opens or "The Outback" if it doesn't!

Too bad about the NCP today 'cause the skiing was really nice. I didn't want to stop but I think we were all soaked through.
