[h=3]Today at Sunday River[/h]Welcome back to the gun show.
Sunday River's finest lit up over 100 snowguns Sunday afternoon and expanded their efforts overnight with a total of 218 guns running by Monday morning for top-to-bottom snowmaking across Barker and Locke Mountains on Right Stuff, T2, Upper Punch, Esctasy, Sunday Punch and Cascades.
When will we open? We can't tell you for sure yet, but we suggest you have your season pass ready just to be on the safe side. The snowmaking team is using some of $1 million in new snowguns we added over the summer and trust us when we tell you they make a ton of snow, very quickly.
Stay tuned here for the latest, and don't forget that you can save $100 on your ski trips if you book by December 1.
Huzzah!

[h=3]Today at Sunday River[/h]Winter. Is. Back
After running 100 snowguns last night and nearly 250 guns today we're announcing Opening Day for tomorrow, November 6.
Sunday River's finest have been working across Locke and Barker Mountains with top-to-bottom snowmaking on Right Stuff, T2, Upper Punch, Ecstasy, Sunday Punch, Cascades and a few smaller trails. They'll be continuing their efforts tonight and by morning we'll know whether we will have top-to-bottom skiing and riding, or potentially be limited to upper Locke Mountain only. In either scenario, lift service will be provided by the Locke Mountain Triple starting at 9am with last chair loading at 3:30pm. The snowmaking team is using some of $1 million in new snowguns we added over the summer and trust us when we tell you they make a ton of snow. On top of that, we're looking at cold temps all week and a forecast calling for anywhere from 4" to 10" of natural snow Wednesday night so you could see new terrain opening quickly.
Open terrain on Wednesday will include T2 and Upper Sunday Punch with the potential for top-to-bottom terrain on Sunday Punch. You'll also find an early season park set up on lower T2 with two boxes and a rail.
Lift ticket rates for opening day will depend on the amount of terrain open and will be announced in the morning.
Season pass can be picked up or purchased at South Ridge Lodge, and lift tickets and other skier services will be available at Barker Mountain Lodge.
Don't forget that you can save $100 on your ski trips if you book by December 1 - including our fantastic holiday

It's the way to open.

2 seasons ago Hunter opened with about 70% of trails open and even though it was a little late (early Dec) the opening day product was so good I was completely wired into skiing by the end of the day.

No WROD boredom.
