NEWRY, Maine -- Sunday River will open for full seven days-a-week operation starting Saturday, November 14. The resort, which opened on October 14 -- the first resort on the East Coast to open in October and one of Sunday River's earliest openings in a decade -- has been open on the weekends since with up to four trails accessible by one chairlift. For the coming weekend, skiers and riders can expect the same amount of open terrain and the likelihood of terrain expansions as the resort continues to make more snow.
Saturday also kicks off Sunday River's annual Tin Mountain Round Up weekend. Skiers and riders are encouraged to bring in three or more cans of food for the Andover Food Bank. Doing so qualifies guests for a $25 lift ticket.
Sunday River is open 8 am - 4 pm on weekends and holidays, and 9 am - 4 pm on weekdays. Lift ticket rates for this weekend are $39 unless guests participate in Tin Mountain Roundup, and then lift tickets are $25.
