The Queen and i had Photo with Olympic Gold Medalist at white house press corp dinner

The Queen of the Hop and i were in DC for the American Hospital Assn mtgs ,stayed at the same hotel as the celebrities attending the Presidents White House Press Corp dinner. We had our pic taken with Sage Kotsenburg the First Gold Medalist in Slopeside snowboard. Great young guyn, very personable . we also saw Lindsey Vonn, Julianna Marguelies ( the Good Wife) , Brooklyn Decker , Tim Tebo , Jessica Simpson, and Senator McCain, and the TODAY cast .

We inadvertently were walking on the red carpet on our way to dinner with our group and inadvertantly ran into SAGE . it was hilarious

That's awesome. My celebrity sightings are near non-existent outside of a performance or something. I shook Adam West's hand when I was like 6 years old.

I knew right then I was going places.

Thanks , but it was strictly dumb luck on our part , OMG we were like walking on the damn red carpet had no idea what in hell was going on

We were on our way to our Hospital dinner ,the place was crawling with security BUT apparently they either figured we were there for the event and let us continue .. ha ha. So why not just keep up the charade and meet some folks.. later that evening at our groups dinner we roared as others in our hospital group were astounded to see we two North Country Rubes in among the Glitterati :grin: and took pics of us meeting some of them.

Yes and interestingly she had a minor wardrobe malfunction. Her veryHIGHspiked heels somehow was interfering with the line of her ensemble and caused her to "snag" her get up . So a few staffers rushed to her attention. She with those heels towered above others who were entering at that moment . frankly i failed to recognize who it was until later . I mistakenly assumed it was some model. ....go figure !!! Duh.

The "parade. Of celebrity participants " was moving thru the lobby red carpet area pretty quickly, so we were fortunate enough to be on the carpet right as they entered
