Sadly, No river for me this weekend or next.

In FL for a work conference this weekend, western MA to run a fencing tournament next weekend.

Looks like 11/13 or 14 before I get to ski this year.

I don't think they know. If they can they will. Sorry don't have any info. Looks like Friday and Sat night will have temps below freezing, but I don't know the humidity. Kind of why I like having something to do on the hill no matter what. I got the jones out last weekend.

Happy up coming birthday Steve..

Sunday River Correct. And if we're open on Halloween - come dressed in costume and it's free!

copy of report below

Today at Sunday River
Well…good and bad news.

Let’s start with the good news. The good news is that it looks like we may get a window to make some more snow tonight. The bad news is that this window appears to be short and if you remember the 19 hours it took for us to make enough snow to open last Friday, it appears as though we’re not going to have enough time to reopen tomorrow.

That said, all is not lost. Our snowmakers are all on high alert and will be here to pull the snowmaking trigger as soon as temperatures allow. Should we be able to make enough snow to open tomorrow, tomorrow afternoon, or even Sunday, we will. And we’ll announce it everywhere including right here, Facebook, Twitter, even our online community. We should also point out our clever little snowmaking tracker (-->). This is meant to track all snowmaking efforts throughout the entire season and our hope is to see a seven day a week operation as soon as humanly possible.

In the meantime and moving onto greener pastures (no pun intended), we do have a party going on here for Halloween that has nothing to do with snow and we’re rock to “Rock the Casbah” so to speak. Starting tonight, our plan is to scare you silly into Halloween with our Sunday Shivers Mystery on the Mountain haunted Chondola tour and nighttime zipline tours, taking place tonight and tomorrow night. Add to this Pumpkinhead Festival activities galore, and your weekend is made. Well, at least 90 percent made.

As for the other 10 percent – think cold, and think snow and keep it here for the latest information.
