Spent a long weekend at this festival, tasted many a fine wine and delicious low country cuisine, saw some lovely sights. The festival had so many sites in & around the city that it was impossible to attend everything. Here are some highlights of the ones we selected.
Friday we spent the afternoon outside the city at Middleton Place, formerly a plantation but now a historic landmark (https://www.middletonplace.org/).
The mansion:
The chapel, azaleas starting to bloom:
Spanish moss:
It rained on Saturday, so it was good that our event was in several huge tents in a park in Charleston:
The skies cleared on Sunday but the temp dropped. We were down by the bay:
Bbq booths, swordfish tacos, Brunswick stew, briskit, you name it:
....and beer.
Out on the beach where we stayed:
