Just an FYI if anyone is considering venturing to So VT today. Route 9 in both directions bewteen Brattleboro and Wilmington is still closed this morning as the DOT and line crews work to clear downed trees + powerlines and restore power.

Rumor is they're trying for a noontime opening, although no guarentees.

Update, from a driver of one of the Moover shuttles. Noontime is VERY optomistic  Dinner time might be more appropriate.

So VT right now is one very beautiful looking crystallized disaster area. Going to be a few days atleast before all the power issues get resolved  And it wouldn't be a bad time to buy stock in a telephone pole manufacturing company, LOTS are needed!

Any idea where the damage was? I know it's gets pretty thickly wooded once you get a bit east of Hog Back.

We usually take 112 home; which was a blessing on Friday.

Irony: With the traffic light out at the intersection of 100/30, it was much easier to get through.

Irony #2: Same with the single lane bridge just over the VT boarder in MA; the light was out there as well. That's usually: "I haven't seen another vehicle for in the last 5 miles...why am I at a red light at this bridge? Hey look! New stickers on the road sign!"
