Warning to all tourists: Ulster County Legislature's passage of a local law to punish adults who knowingly allow the consumption of alcohol by minors on private property. The new county law makes it a violation to serve alcohol to minors on private property, with a penalty of up to 15 days in jail, a $250 fine, or both. You thought getting a speeding ticket on Route 28 was bad. Now you might be spending some of your quality vacation time in Ulster County's brand new jail.
