Anyone have any experience using these? I bought my wife a Fitbit One for mother's day. It's pretty cool. It tracks total steps, flights climbed, and your sleeping patterns and then you can check it all on a nice phone interface.

They have new ones that attach to your wrist (Jawbone Up, Fitbit Flex, Nike Fuelband) but I went with the one for her because they don't really work that well when doing things like pushing a stroller or a cart since your arms aren't swinging.

I never heard of such a thing. Seems pretty neat though. How does your wife like it? How does it monitor sleep patterns?

She likes it. The fitbit goes into a wrist strap at night and it monitors your movement and can (pretty accurately) tell if you were restless or actually awake.

They have an android / iPhone app and website where you can go and view all your data.

I've had my Fitbit One for about a month now and so far I like it. It keeps me more active for sure.

I've had a fitbit since Christmas. I like it a lot. Keeps me motivated and will pair with myfitnesspal to help get a better overall picture of calorie intake vs expense.

My wife has the Jawbone UP and really likes it. After a few weeks it learns your habits and starts making suggestions

Seems likeh the general concensus is to use myfitness pal for tracking food and water and the fitbit dashboard for everything else.

I'm kicking around getting a jawbone up. For now, using an iOS app called Sleepcycle. Works well! At work we're looking into using apps or a fitbit or jawbone as part of our wellness program.
